Tritian have the upper torsos of well-built and attractive humans and lower halves consisting of the tail and fins of a great fish. Their hair and scales span a wide range of hues, with tritian in a given region closely resembling each other. Tritian can breathe air freely but move on dry land only with difficulty, and rarely spend long periods out of water. As a race, tritian are insular and distrustful of strangers, but individuals, especially adventuring tritian, break the mold and can be quite garrulous. Tritian concern themselves more with nature and the arts than with morality and ethical debates, and have a strong inclination toward neutral alignments.

Benefit: Tritian receive a +2 racial bonus to Charisma based skills.

 

Advanced Constitution:

Benefit: Tritian receive a +2 racial bonus to Constitution based skills.

 

Weakened Dexterity:

Prerequisites: None

Benefit: Tritian receive a -2 racial penalty to Dexterity based skills.

 

Legless:

Prerequisites: None

Benefit: Tritian have no legs, and cannot be tripped.

 

Strongtail:

Prerequisites: None

Benefit: Tritian have broad, strong tails that are suited for land travel. Tritian are slower moving over land but move twice as fast in the water.

 

Gills:

Prerequisite: Swim racial ability

Benefit: Tritian can breathe both air and water.

 

Water Sense:

Prerequisite: Gills racial ability

Benefit: Tritian can sense vibrations in water, allowing them to sense creatures that are touching the same body of water.

 

Deepsight:

Prerequisite: Gills racial ability

Benefit: Tritian are specially adapted to the lightless depths of the oceans, but not to air-filled environments. They can see in the dark while underwater, but do not gain this benefit out of water.

 

Nereid Fascination:

Prerequisite: None

Benefit: Tritian gain the following supernatural ability: Once per day, a Tritian can create a 20-foot-radius burst that causes humanoids within the aura's range to become fascinated with the user.

 

Swim:

Prerequisites: None

Benefit: Tritian gain a +8 bonus on Swim checks.
